Deepak Jain

Deepak Jain is the Founder and General Partner for Interact Equity Ventures (IEV). Prior to IEV, Mr. Jain served as CEO of U.S. Operations for Kili Technology, acquired in March 2015 by Square, the world’s No. 1 mobile POS solution provider. He founded DeviceFidelity in 2007, and served as its president and CEO until 2012 and as chairman of the Board and CEO until 2014. Under his leadership, DeviceFidelity grew from a small, patented concept of mobile payments in 2007 to a successful operation generating millions of dollars in international revenue before it was acquired by Kili Technologies in 2014. Mr. Jain architected DeviceFidelity’s partnership with Visa Inc. to introduce the very first certified mobile NFC payment device compatible with leading smartphones. By 2010, DeviceFidelity became the first company in the world to make a live NFC transaction on Apple iPhone devices. He also led the company’s partnership with MasterCard to bring Moneto, the first mobile prepaid application on Android and iOS to both U.S. and U.K. consumers. Moneto was named “best in class” mobile application by PayBefore in 2013, and launched a unique worldwide money transfer capability with a strategic partnership with MoneyGram. DeviceFidelity later sold the Moneto brand and Gateway Services to Cachet Financial in early 2014. Mr. Jain has spearheaded successful fund raising for DeviceFidelity from institutions such as the State of Texas, venture capitalists such as Dallas Venture Partners, strategic partners such as DataCard, as well as from the angel community. Tony Sabetti

Tony Sabetti, a co-founder and general partner for Interact Equity Ventures (IEV), brings more than 25 years of experience launching innovative mobile products to global markets. He served as senior director of technology at Softcard, a joint venture of AT&T Wireless, Verizon and T-Mobile USA (acquired by Google) and the first multi-platform, multi-bank, multi-OS mobile wallet to provide NFC payments. He led the development and deployment of Softcard’s mobile commerce platform which integrated payments, loyalty and offers in a single near field communication (NFC) tap, at more than 100,000 merchant locations across the U.S. Prior to Softcard, Mr. Sabetti was senior director of sales and marketing for NXP Semiconductors, where he secured designs of NFC chipsets and secure elements into mobile phones from Blackberry, Motorola, Google and others. His team was also responsible for secure chips for EMV bank cards, ePassports, and government ID cards throughout North and South America. He also served as vice president of RF Solutions for Sirit, where he developed a worldwide customer base for UHF RFID readers in the retail supply chain vertical, and built an NFC software practice. Mr. Sabetti’s work in electronic payments and security technology began at Texas Instruments, where he led international marketing and development teams who pioneered contactless technology, and developed and implemented ExxonMobil’s Speedpass and American Express’ ExpressPay solutions, the first two large-scale contactless payment solutions in the world. Robert Sabella brings more than 20 years of legal and entrepreneurial experience to Interact Ventures and is considered one of the most innovative leaders in developing and bringing new technologies to market. Mr. Sabella is an entrepreneur, investor, inventor, innovator and author. He started several companies, invested in a few more and invented a few products along the way with two current patent-pending applications. He authored two books, RFID+ and the soon to be published NFC for Dummies™. He is passionate about start-ups, both as an entrepreneur and an investor. Mr. Sabella’s focus is on all things related to mobile proximity, specifically RFID, NFC, BLE and mobile apps. Mr. Sabella created and co-founded the proximity ID technology focused accelerator program, AccelerateNFC, as well as co-organized the global hackathon series TrackHack™: The Proximity ID Hackathon. He continues to train people and organizations around the world on proximity technologies and the solutions they enable through the NFC Bootcamps.
